How to Draw a Cupcake

Method One: Cupcake With Icing Topping1Begin the outline sketch by drawing a trapezoid shape for the base of the cupcake cup. Make sure that you draw the outline sketches very lightly using your pencil.

2Draw the outline for the icing on top of your cupcake.

3Sketch the actual lines using a marker.

4Draw continuous curve lines to draw the actual lines of the cupcake wrapper.

5Add slanted lines to emphasize the folds on the cupcake wrappers.

6Draw the shape of the icing on top of the cupcake.

7Add soft lines to show the volume of the icing.

8Color the draft.


Method Two: Cupcake With Cherry On Top1Sketch the outline for the cupcake cup.

2Add an oval shape for the outline of the topping.

3Start drawing the actual line for the cupcake cup.

4Draw the actual lines for the topping.

5Sketch the folded wrappers on the cupcake cup.

6Draw the cherry on top to complete the actual lines.

7Color the draft.
